PROGRAMME OVERVIEW:
We offer s t u d e n t s t h e opportunity to develop lifelong resilience by learning to grow their own food using permaculture principles.
Over a year, they will transform a bare parcel of land into a thriving, sustainable garden, gaining skillS In:
• Soil regeneration & composting
• Water conservation & rainwater harvesting
• Companion planting & polyculture
• Natural pest management Chedging, pollinator-
friendly flowers)
• Seasonal food production & self-sufficiency
This is a hands-on, student-led project where each pair of students manage a 9m x 10m plot, choosing crops, designing beds, and experimenting with sustainable techniques.
This project is aimed toward young persons within alternative education that face barriers to traditional learning.
