About the Farm

Q: What is EcoTherapy Farm CIC?

A: EcoTherapy Farm CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company, permaculture care farm, alternative educational provider, and wellbeing sanctuary based in Norwich. We offer beautiful off-grid venues, nature-based therapies, animal care courses and interactions, creative workshops, retreats, community farm and garden projects, volunteering opportunities and community events designed to support biodiversity, environmental factors, wellbeing, connection, and sustainability.

Easy to reach but with the feeling of being miles away. The farm is surrounded by meadows, trees, a woodland and is home to friendly therapy animals.

Q: What makes EcoTherapy Farm unique?

A: We are entirely off-grid, eco-conscious, and rooted in community wellbeing. Our spaces combine traditional structures, such as yurts and stretch tents, with the tranquillity of nature.

We also offer creative, therapeutic, and alternative health provisions.

Venue Hire

Q: What spaces are available to hire?

A: 20ft Yurt – £22 per hour (capacity 15 seated or 8 yoga mats)

10m x 10m Stretch Tent – £30 per hour (capacity up to 60 seated/standing)

16ft Yurt – £20 per hour (capacity 10 seated or 6 yoga mats; perfect for 1-to-1s & therapies)

Q: What facilities are included?

A: All venues include Wi-Fi, lighting, log burners, carpets, and eco-friendly surroundings. The stretch tent also has electricity access.

Q: Are there toilets and changing facilities?

A: Yes, we have a composting toilet and changing facilities on site.

Q: Can I book for a whole day or weekend?

A: Yes, we offer half-day, full-day, and weekend packages. Please contact us for tailored rates.

Q: Do you offer discounts for community groups or charities?

A: Yes, we provide reduced rates for CICs, charities.

Events & Activities

Q: What kind of events do you host?

A: We host educational sessions, gardening events, animal welfare activities, animal interaction session, community gatherings, therapy sessions, creative workshops, wellbeing classes (e.g., yoga, meditation), sauna & cold plunge therapy and seasonal celebrations. We also welcome private hire for retreats, training, and team-building.

Q: Do you run your own events?

A: Yes! Alongside venue hire, EcoTherapy Farm runs creative arts and nature-based therapy sessions, community wellbeing projects, animal interaction and farming activities.

Q: Can I bring my own facilitator or run my own workshop?

A: Absolutely. Our spaces are perfect for facilitators, therapists, and practitioners looking for a unique nature-based venue.

Alternative Provisions

Q: Do you provide therapeutic services?

A: Yes. EcoTherapy Farm specialises in eco-art therapy, Animal Behaviour, animal

educational care and courses, mental health support, creative therapies, and alternative health practices. We work with schools, individuals, groups, and organisations.

Q: Are you available for social prescribing or care referrals?

A: Yes. As a CIC, we welcome referrals from social prescribers, healthcare professionals, and community organisations.

Q: Can schools or groups book alternative provision sessions?

A: Yes. We offer bespoke programmes for schools, young people, and groups needing creative, nature-based, or therapeutic support.

Practical Information

Q: Is the farm accessible?

A: Our site is off-grid, rustic, and set on meadowland. We are continually improving accessibility and will do our best to accommodate individual needs – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Comfortable clothing suited to the weather, and anything you may need for your session (e.g., yoga mat, notebook). Some mats and seating are available upon request.

Q: Do you provide refreshments?

A: We can provide tea, coffee, and simple refreshments as an add-on to your booking. You are also welcome to bring your own.

Q: Do you have parking?

A: Yes, we have on-site parking available for guests.

Q: Are you wheelchair friendly?

A: Yes, we are. We have had wheelchair users on-site. Although, as we are a farm, the ground can be bumpy at times.

Booking

Q: How do I book a space?

A: Please contact us via our website’s booking enquiry form, email, or phone. We’ll confirm availability, discuss your needs, and send over booking details.

Q: Do I need to pay a deposit?

A: Yes, we usually require a deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due before your event.

Q: Can I visit the farm before booking?

A: Yes, we encourage visits so you can get a feel for the space. Please arrange a viewing with us.

Q: What age ranges can book on your events/interaction sessions?

A: Our sessions are suitable for children aged 6 and above. Children under 6 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Q: Is there a café, shop, or anywhere for food and drink on site?

A: No, we don’t currently have a café or shop on site. Please feel free to bring your own refreshments.

Q: What happens if it rains on my booking day?

A: We embrace all weather conditions. Our large stretch tent and warm, cosy yurt provide plenty of shelter so activities can continue whatever the weather.

Q: What footwear is recommended?

A: We advise wearing wellies, sturdy boots, or other appropriate footwear suitable for a farm environment.

Q: What are your opening hours?

A:General opening hours

Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Weekends: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Please note: As we are an alternative educational provider, we are not open to the general public unless we have ticketed events on. Additionally, our hours may be extended during the summer months, as our opening hours are dependent on the season and daylight hours.

Q: Do I need to book in advance?

A: Yes, all sessions must be booked in advance.

Q: Are you open to members of the public?

A: We are open to the public on weekends only, and access is limited to those who have booked onto sessions.

Q: Can we go in with the animals?

A: Yes, but only under the supervision of our trained staff and animal care specialists.

Q: Is the access track suitable for all vehicles?

A: As we are located off the beaten track, the access lane can be uneven.

Lowered vehicles are advised to park in our allocated parking zone (highlighted on the booking map) and take the short 5-minute walk to the farm.

All other vehicles are welcome to drive along the track, but we kindly ask visitors to drive slowly, remain in first gear, and keep to a maximum speed of 5mph, allowing for a scenic approach.
